The 'Aspects of Yoga' Teacher Training approach is to train and equip the aspirant yoga teacher with the knowledge and techniques that will enable them to teach skillfully and safely with compassion and integrity. OUTLINE FOR 200-HR FOUNDATION YOGA TEACHER TRAINING

Practice and Teaching

Emphasis is given on alignment and safe practice, recognizing limits, experiencing and

understanding the effects of basic and classic asanas, working from simple to complex,

from easy to advanced, from self-experience to teaching.

Practicing with an attitude of ahimsa

Students learn about the importance of restorative poses and how to use props for

individual support. This gives the necessary foundation for the advanced 350 hour

Aspects of Yoga training which emphasizes on therapeutic benefits.

Attention is given on how to demonstrate and teach a class skillfully and safely, to stay in

contact with the class, to see where an individual needs adaptation and attention, when to

use of props and to adjust safely when necessary.

Further to plan and structure, sequence logically and safely, as well as understanding

prerequisites for safe and more advanced practice and teaching.

How to adapt when teaching elderly, how to practice during menstruation, how to teach when students have knee or shoulder issues, these aspects will be addressed.

Anatomy & Physiology

Musculoskeletal System: Function of key muscles, tendons, ligaments, joints etc in context

with applied yoga practice.

Bodily systems and how to implement anatomical and physiological knowledge into practice

and teaching to stimulate or calm the digestive system, hormon system and vegetative

nervous system

Ethics for Yoga Teachers / Philosophy / Life style

Philosophical topics and ethical life style are taught in a pragmatic way so that the students can refer to them on a personal level and implement it their daily lives.
